COLES COUNTY, In poor health. (WEAU) – The Illinois State Police recognized the 4 victims of a small aircraft crash in Illinois Saturday morning. Authorities mentioned Ross Nelson, 46, Raimi Rundle, 45, Courtney Morrow, 36 and Michael Morrow, 48 had been onboard when their small engine aircraft went down in Coles County, Illinois. They had been all pronounced deceased on the scene.

The FAA mentioned the aircraft was a Cessna 180. The aircraft went down about 10:15 a.m. on County Highway 1400 North in Trilla, about three miles south of Mattoon close to the Coles/Cumberland County line, in line with a launch from ISP.

According to NBC News, the small engine plane originally took off from Menomonie. In keeping with Illinois State Police, it isn’t clear proper now if the aircraft was both on its means again to Wisconsin, or had left Wisconsin Saturday morning. That’s pending an FAA investigation.

The FAA mentioned the Nationwide Transportation Security Board (NTSB) will lead the investigation.

Illinois State Police mentioned the street the place the plane wreckage remained till Sunday night is now cleared for visitors as of 5 p.m..

Investigators are nonetheless trying into the reason for the crash.
