“EXO’s Kai Talks About His Recent Solo Album, Upcoming Solo Concert Tour “KAION,” And More”
EXO’s Kai just lately participated in a photograph shoot for the style journal Elle!
Following the photograph shoot, which was in collaboration with Versace’s perfume Eros Vitality, Kai sat down for an interview. Having just lately wrapped up promotions for his 4th mini album “Wait On Me” and making ready for his first solo live performance tour “KAION,” he opened up about what retains him motivated. He shared, “Since this is my first activity after being discharged [from mandatory military service], I feel like my energy to work has been fully recharged. I want to let fans who haven’t seen me in two years know that we’ll be meeting more often now. I’m physically tired, but mentally I’m incredibly happy and feel very fulfilled because I’m confident that I’m doing the best I can right now.”
Kai has appeared on varied selection exhibits and just lately took on the function of MC for the favored internet selection present “Changing Majors.” Reflecting on his latest actions, he stated, “I learned a lot through my experience as a social service worker. My attitude toward people hasn’t changed, but I think that because I talk more about relatable, everyday experiences, many people are finding me more approachable.”
When requested what it means to be good at his job, Kai—who debuted in 2012—responded, “In the past, I thought it was all about the end result. Now, I think it’s about staying in your field for a long time—enduring. Honestly, the fact that you’ve been doing it for a long time is proof that you’re good at it.”
Talking about his upcoming live performance tour, which kicks off on Might 17 in Seoul, he shared, “I’m nervous and excited, but above all, I feel happy. Most of my solo activities overlapped with the pandemic, so I didn’t have many chances to meet fans in person. In the past, I focused more on myself, but now I’m definitely more focused on connecting with the fans. I really want to show them a cool performance.”
Kai’s full pictorial and interview will be discovered within the June challenge of Elle Korea.
