Six dead and 39 rescued after tourist submarine sinks in Egypt, says local governor – live updates

At about 10:00 native time (08:00 GMT), a vacationer submarine sank within the Egyptian Purple Sea, off the coast of Hurghada. Our stay protection is ending now, so here is every little thing we all know – and do not know:

Six folks, all Russian, died after the vacationer vessel sank round one kilometre from the coast. The native governor mentioned 39 vacationers have been rescued, and no person is lacking.

The 45 vacationers have been from Russia, Norway, Sweden and India, the governor mentioned, together with 5 Egyptian crew members.

The corporate in cost, Sindbad, has cancelled upcoming journeys and authorities are investigating.
