“Park Ho San, Choi Young Joon, And Jung Sung Il Bring Diverse Charms To Upcoming Film “Omniscient Reader””
“Omniscient Reader” has released new stills of its supporting cast!
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” will tell the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
Park Ho San, known for his standout performances in “My Mister” and “Prison Playbook,” will appear in the film as Gong Pil Du, a key figure in a world where fiction has become reality. Gong Pil Du controls a crucial safe zone that holds more value than the coins needed to survive, and he uses his assets to gradually build his stockpile. The plot takes an intriguing turn when Kim Dok Ja arrives with an unexpected offer that raises the stakes and adds to the suspense of the story.
Choi Young Joon will play Han Myung Oh, the boss of Kim Dok Ja and Yoo Sang Ah (Chae Soo Bin), who also becomes entangled with them in the newly transformed world. Known for his broad acting range in works such as “Big Deal,” “Gyeongseong Creature,” and “Our Blues,” Choi Young Joon will bring depth to the role of Han Myung Oh, an opportunist who clings to his authority even in life-and-death situations. His realistic portrayal of the character’s selfish actions and manipulative behavior will provoke frustration among audiences.
Jung Sung Il, known for his powerful screen presence in works like “Uprising,” “Trigger,” and “The Glory,” as well as his ability to reinvent himself in each role, will make a special appearance as Chun In Ho, a National Assembly member who governs the Geumho Station area. Jung Sung Il will deliver a brief yet striking performance as a two-faced figure who hides his true nature behind a kind demeanor and commanding leadership. From the moment he appears, he draws attention with his presence, and he will intensify the drama by using his devoted followers to corner Kim Dok Ja and his allies.
“Omniscient Reader” will premiere on July 23.
