Last Rites’ Trailer Reunites Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga for Finale

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are on the case one final time in one other installment of The Conjuring franchise. 

The Conjuring: Final Rites brings the actors again as real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. This movie — billed as Wilson and Farmiga’s ultimate time within the roles — follows the true story of the Smurl household haunting in Pennsylvania within the ’80s. Final Rites comes after the 2013 unique and 2016’s The Conjuring 2, which have been directed by James Wan, and 2021’s The Conjuring: The Satan Made Me Do It, directed by Chaves.

“Our fake marriage has lasted longer than many real ones,” wrote Wilson, 51, of Farmiga in an Instagram post of his personal marking the top of filming. “Because the solar units on the Conjuring franchise… I’m overwhelmed.
